An annual event held by the Environmental Department of Universitas Indonesia Executive Board as a platform for youths to innovate and create solutions for environmental challenges. Our series of UI YEA activities consist of a pre-event regarding the holding of an essay competition with the theme of green industry, creative propaganda competition, international essay competition, conference, field event, and the Grand Summit.

Publications and Promotions

This event is in the form of discussions with speakers who are experts in their fields for 15-40 minutes through podcasts. The discussion covers environmental issues that are close to everyday life, which are closely related to the circular economy concept. Through this podcast, it is hoped that UI YEA 2021 can educate the public more interactively.

Podcast

The event is the way to introduce the UI YEA 2021 to other university students, both national and international, which will attract students to participate in competitions at the UI YEA 2021.

Roadshow

This event is in the form of public discussion about environmental issues, especially those related to the circular economy. It is hoped to increase the awareness of the participants through the presentation by experts.

Public Discussion

This event was held in the form of delivering material from the experts and followed by a question and answer session from delegates to experts. There are two things discussed in coaching, design thinking or public speaking and an in-depth study of each chamber.

Coaching with Experts

The series of finals included student conferences, pitching sessions, and delegates nights. Student conference is a discussion between delegates led by the conference leader regarding the triggers given at the beginning of the session. Pitching sessions is a presentations related to essays by participants in front of the judges. Then, on the same day, there will be a Delegates Night.

Finals

This event is in the form of purchasing a plastic chopping machine to be given to the waste bank (Bank Sampah) in Depok.

Field Event

This event is in the form of webinars and talk shows with related speakers. The event will be filled with talents and interactive quizzes with the audience.
